TWO sisters have teamed up to promote one of the Greek islands to holidaymakers around the world.
Maria Fletcher, from Hartlepool, has set up a website to boost bookings at her sister Moira's small holiday apartment rental business in Paleokastritsa, on Corfu.
Maria set up the Internet site in only two weeks, with help from professional photographer Dirk van der Werff and web company XIII WebDev.
The site received its first booking from Isreal within 48 hours of being launched earlier this month, with further bookings and inquiries from across the UK, Italy, New Zealand and Norway.
"It's been quite amazing how a beautiful website for my sister's tiny business in Corfu has come together in such a short time, from zero to taking bookings in two weeks flat," said Maria.
"It's a digital world now, and although it is a simple life in Corfu, this shop window produced in the Tees Valley will allow my sister's simple, traditional Greek accommodation to appeal to holidaymakers not just in Teesside but across the world."
The site can be found at www.simplycorfu.co.uk
