A COUNCIL'S environmental expert visits a supermarket today as part of a recycling challenge.
Asda, in Bishop Auckland, is taking part in the chain's Big Recycle month, and Wear Valley District Council's environmental project officer, Paula George, will be in store today between 10am and 4pm to answer questions on waste reduction, recycling and home composting.
Youngsters will receive a free recycling goodie bag.
There will also be a competition all week, with prizes of T-shirts, bags and books on offer.
