YOUNGSTERS from a facility for young people in Ferryhill have gained certificates following an activity week.
A total of 16 members of the Ferryhill E-Caf have received Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network certificates following the week-long event.
They have also gained level two and three skiing certificates as a result of the activities, organised by Windlestone-based organisation Map.
Members of the E-Caf were approached by Map to take part in a week-long learning programme of photography, team building, rock-climbing and skiing.
Karen Emerson, from Ferryhill Town Council, said: "The week proved to be a huge hit with both staff and young people alike.
"So successful was the activity programme that many of the young people attending have decided to develop their skiing skills further."
