A NURSERY set up by a woman concerned about her son's education has celebrated its first anniversary.
Claire Crumpton set up Learning Together Day Nursery last year after she had problems finding pre-nursery childcare for her son William.
The nursery celebrated a year in business with representatives who helped her to set up the venture. It also coincided with her second child, Annabel, starting at the nursery. Mrs Crumpton said: "I managed to combine bringing up a toddler, opening a new business and being pregnant, so now I believe you really can have it all."
The group now has 14 staff members, is more than 70 per cent full and is planning to expand.
Mrs Crumpton contacted Business Link and Darlington Business Venture to launch her enterprise. Representatives from the two groups attended the anniversary party to cut the cake.
