NO objections have been raised over plans to merge two secondary schools.
During a six-week council consultation, no parents or carers of children at Lowfields or Oaklands Secondary Schools, in west York, came forward.
Under proposals put forward by City of York Council, a £10m school would be built on the Oaklands site to replace both schools.
The plans have been driven by a decline in pupil numbers.
The Government would contribute £8m towards the total cost. The council would put forward the remaining £2m.
A final decision on the merger will be made on Tuesday. If approved, the first batch of year seven pupils will be admitted from September next year.
