A WOMAN who breached an anti-social behaviour order (Asbo) three times by abusing emergency staff has appeared in court.
Christina Charlie Llew-ellyn, 39, of Vancouver Street, Darlington, pleaded guilty at the town's magistrates court yesterday to three charges of breaching her Asbo.
Toby Thomas, prosecuting, told the court how Llewellyn had been given the Asbo, banning her from harassing emergency staff and calling 999 when unnecessarily.
Mr Thomas said that in September she rang police on the non-emergency number and began abusing the operator.
The same day, she attended the Accident and Emergency department at Darlington Memorial Hospital and was abusive to staff.
Later that month, she rang an ambulance saying she was suicidal. However, when ambulance staff arrived she refused treatment.
Graham Hunsley, in mitigation, said Llewellyn suffered a number of mental health problems.
He said she no longer had her mobile phone and had disconnected the landline at her house.
He added: "She by no means wants to be a nuisance, She keeps herself to herself."
Magistrates fined Llewellyn £50 which they ordered she pay within 28 days.
