VILLAGERS are practising their egg-rolling skills in time for an Easter event.
The Great Village Egg Roll, in Galphay, near Ripon, is its third year, and will be held on Saturday, April 15, from 10am.
It is open to everyone in the surrounding villages, with prizes for the best painted eggs as well as for winners of the egg-rolling races in different age categories.
Organiser Emma Spick said: "Galphay has got such a lovely village green, with a gentle slope, it's just perfect for egg rolling.
"Last year lots of people came from outside the area and we hope that will happen again."
Entry costs £1.50 and there will be refreshments in the village hall afterwards.
