FIVE drop-in sessions have been arranged for residents to give their views on open spaces, sport and recreation.

Ryedale District Council has recently appointed specialist sport and leisure consultants to undertake an assessment in the area.

The study is required by planning guidance from the Government and will investigate whether the district's open space and sporting and recreational facilities meet the needs of local people.

Residents will be able to voice their opinions on Thursday, April 13, at Sheriff Hutton Village Hall from 10.30am to 12pm, Sinnington Village Hall from 12.30pm to 2pm and Helmsley market square from 3pm to 6pm.

On Tuesday, April 18, thay can visit Morrisons in Malton, from 3pm to 6pm and the Co-op in Pickering from 11am to 2pm.
