SCHOOLCHILDREN have been given a taste of Africa by a group which uses storytelling with music.
The Iroko Theatre Company appeared at Bournmoor Primary School, near Chester-le-Street, yesterday, before giving pupils a series of workshops in African drumming.
The award-winning company is renowned for using interactive performances, workshops in the art of storytelling, drama, music and dance to help educate and enhance the creative potential of children and young people.
They will be appearing at St Bede's RC Primary School at 7.30pm tomorrow.
Family tickets for two adults and a child are £4, and for a single adult £1.50. Concessions are £1. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.
