TWO lucky readers of The Northern Echo have won televisions in a newspaper competition.
Marion Drenon, 78, from Brandon, County Durham, and Joan Lewis, 65, from Darlington, won 27in LCD television sets in the Scratch and Match competition run by The Northern Echo in conjunction with Aldi.
The competition ran for two weeks and has seen a handful of people from across the region win cash and shopping vouchers.
At the end of the competition, readers were asked to hand their Scratch and Match cards into the Aldi store, in Yarm Road, Darlington, and Mrs Drenon and Mrs Lewis were chosen as winners.
