Knowledge House has appointed MIKE WHITE as manager. The organisation promotes links between the region's universities and businesses.
Mr White will be responsible for promoting Knowledge House among businesses and ensuring that university expertise in product development and consultation services is more accessible.
He has moved from Napier University, in his home town of Edinburgh, to take up the post.
At Napier, he spent three years promoting and managing business-university collaborations.
He has 18 years experience with Hewlett Packard in manufacturing and systems management, and public and private sector roles in IT, training and business consultancy.
Knowledge House works with the universities of Teesside, Durham, Sunderland, Northumbria and Newcastle, as well as the Open University in the North.
