CHILDREN visiting a shopping centre this weekend will be able to play at dressing-up, with a difference.
English Heritage is holding free activity and information sessions at Gateshead MetroCentre.
Children will be able to try on period costumes, imagine what it was like to be a Roman soldier or medieval lady and take away a free souvenir photograph. Other activities include clay tile-making and a drawing competition.
The event is from 9am to 7pm on Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday, in Exhibition Square
