A FAMILY retailer in Darlington has re-opened after a refurbishment.
Woolworths, on Northgate, was opened yesterday.
St Mary's Under 8s football team won a competition run in conjunction with all new Woolworths store openings, which included winning a new kit.
As the youngsters were unavailable to perform the ceremony, their assistant coach Gary Thexton did the honours.
The store has been redesigned and has a change of layout, merchandising and service. Tracy Basham, area manager, said: "It is part of a company concept. It is a fantastic store for a fantastic town."
