FOUR staff at a Darlington supermarket have been recognised for accumulating 100 years of service between them
Linda Denham, Vicky Knight, Phil Littlefair and Carmel Smith who work at the Morrisons store in North Road were given company shares after working for 25 years each at the store.
Their achievement was highlighted at an awards ceremony in Glasgow.
Peter Wittering, general manager of Morrisons in Darlington, said: "Everyone at the store is delighted for these four incredibly hardworking and loyal members of staff.
"So much has changed over the last 25 years but Linda, Vicky, Phil and Carmel have remained the backbone of this store.
"I'm sure all the staff and our customers would join me in expressing our thanks to these four wonderful people."
Ms Denham said: "I can't believe it has been 25 years.
"I've made a lot of friends at the store and it is fantastic that my colleagues and I have been recognised for our long service."
