A FIRM that rebuilds old computers has won an award for its recycling initiative.
Recycling IT (Europe) has won the environmental sector in the Tees Valley Best New Business Awards.
The company, which began trading in August 2004, has customers across the UK- and seen its turnover increase by 500 per cent.
It recently moved to new premises on the PD Ports Commerce Park at South Bank, near Middlesbrough.
The award follows the success of another Teesside recycling company, Baxter Promotions, which won both the environmental sector and overall award in last year's competition.
A senior official from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister has praised the firm for its approach to recycling, training and job creation.
