KIERSTEN WASSON is the new programme director of Common Purpose in the Tees Valley.
She succeeds Veronique Raingeval, who is moving to Common Purpose International as international development director.
The charity offers leadership courses for people in the business and public sectors.
Ms Wasson was previously the European marketing communications manager for DuPont Teijin Films, at the Wilton International site on Teesside.
During the past four years, she has worked with the DuPont global leadership team on developing cross-cultural business and communication plans.
