A 29-YEAR-OLD man is fighting for his life after an incident outside a nightclub.
He was assaulted in the alleyway at the side of the Amadeus, in Elder Road, Northallerton, North Yorkshire, at 1am on Sunday.
Police said the man, who lives locally, suffered severe head injuries and is in a critical condition in the James Cook Hospital, Middlesbrough.
A 23-year-old man has been charged with assault in connection with the incident. He is on bail and is due to appear before magistrates in Northallerton on February 23.
