A NEW touch-screen screen will help visitors learn more about a museum's collection of 3,800 medals.
The display at the Green Howards Museum, in Richmond, includes pictures of the medals.
There are also details of the medals' history and their links to the Green Howards regiment.
Museum curator Major Roger Chapman said: "It will help young people gain an interest in what is a marvellous subject."
The display covers all campaign medals won by members of the Green Howards, from the Crimean War to the present day.
The regiment's Victoria Cross and George Cross winners are illustrated with photographs, drawings and information about their citations and biographies.
The equipment was bought with a donation from the Sir Peter Shepherd Charitable Trust.
The gift was arranged by Piers Shepherd, who is a friend of the museum and a medal expert
