A GLASS manufacturing firm in the region has been acquired by entrepreneur Ryan Green.
The 29-year-old has secured all 130 jobs at Clayton Glass, in Stanley, County Durham, in a multi-million pound deal.
The firm, which has increased its turnover by 12 per cent to £6.6m in the past 12 months, is planning for further expansion.
Mr Green, managing director, said: "I was employed by this company years back when it was Heywood Williams, so I've always held a certain affection towards the business.
"The potential for Clayton Glass to grow and expand is huge, so when the opportunity arose to acquire it, I jumped at the chance."
The deal was funded by Five Arrows Commercial Finance Limited, the lending arm of N M Rothschild and Sons Ltd, with assistance from The Co-operative Bank's North-East corporate banking centre.
