BISHOP Auckland Town Hall has a busy programme of events over the next week.
Friday's lunchtime concert, with pianist George Hetherington and soprano Susan Limbert, starts at 1pm and costs £2.50, concessions £2.
On Saturday, Crook Rotary Club is hosting an evening of music and song with the Carol Andrew Singers from 7.30pm. Tickets are £8, including a pie and peas supper, from 07876 357 520.
The Hog Wild Tent of the Sons of the Desert, the Laurel and Hardy Appreciation Society, meets on Tuesday at 7.30pm.
And on Wednesday, a concert in the Mistresses of Jazz series features Ruth Lambert, with double bass Andy Champion and guitarists Tim Johnson and Mark Williams, performing standards from the Great American Songbook. Tickets are £4.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Evergreens club for over-50s meets between 10.30am and 3.30pm, and features a talk from cyclist Brian Crosby on his fundraising ride across America.
There will also be an introduction to the film Don't Look Now by Wendy Robertson, and a screening of the film in the Eden Theatre.
For under-fives on Wednesday, there are Twiglets Animal Magic sessions at 10.30am and 1.30pm, with stories and crafts led by Eileen Glenton and Sue Abel.
