Detectives investigating the discovery of a body in the grounds of a country hotel have this morning confirmed they are treating his death as murder.
Father-of-two Lyndsay Kennedy, of East Stanley, was found dead just yards from the Harperley Hotel, near Stanley, County Durham.
A post mortem examination carried out yesterday has now confirmed that the 40-year-old victim had suffered a severe head injury.
