Derek Shaw, who has sent out a steady flow of winners this year, can boost his tally by taking both divisions of the No 5p Rule 4s At Betdirect Fillies Handicap over six furlongs at Wolverhampton this afternoon.

The best bet of the day looks to be Shaw's Park Star in division two at 5.10.

She has been blighted by a series of tough draws since running out a very easy winner at Lingfield after a break in December and can make amends here.

She was far from disgraced from the widest draw over this course and distance on her most recent start and is fancied to return to winning ways from today's stall seven berth.

Shaw can initiate the double in division one at 2.10 with Sahara Silk, who is on the same mark as when last successful on turf at Hamilton last July.

The daughter of Desert Style, who is a fairly regular winner, ran well on her second outing after a break over five furlongs at this course last week and there are no concerns with the longer distance.

A decent gallop looks on the cards with Cookie Cutter, who is penalised for last week's success in ordinary maiden company at Southwell, and Shaw's runner is fancied to beat that rival and Sweetest Revenge.

General Feeling, who shaped well from a wide draw over six furlongs at Wolverhampton last time, is fancied to return to winning ways on his first run for his new stable in the Text "Betdirect" To 88600 Handicap over seven furlongs.

Michael Mullineaux's five-year-old, who won over this course and distance in December, tends to lose ground at the start.

But he has been a very consistent sort on Polytrack with his only poor run this winter coming at Southwell and he should go close from stall three.

Prettilini is an in-form sprinter who ran up to his best at Southwell last time and is fancied to follow up back on Polytrack in the Play £m Spot The Ball On 0800 500 000 Claiming Stakes over six furlongs.

And Clive Brittain, whose runners have been in good form in Dubai of late, is fancied to score with Mansiya in the betdirect.co.uk Fillies Handicap over the extended nine furlongs.

Both jumps meetings have to pass early morning inspections.

But if Ludlow is given the green light the unbeaten Square Mile will be hard to beat in the J.H.Newton Memorial Novices Hurdle over two miles and five furlongs.

The six-year-old showed a determined attitude to win after a lengthy break over two miles and three furlongs at Market Rasen in October when last seen.

But he left the strong impression that this longer trip would be in his favour.

The potentially well-treated Sardagna was far from disgraced in a stronger grade at Sandown last time and is fancied to beat Nicky Richards' Zaffaran Expresss in the Stokesay Mares Only Handicap hurdle over the same two mile and five furlong trip.

At Southwell Emma Lavelle's Umbrella Man is worth another chance over the three-mile trip after a fair run over two and a half miles at Huntingdon and is the fancy in the Betfred Handicap Chase.

Lightly-raced Proprioception is open to further improvement for her handicap debut and is taken to give a good account in the Betfred Mares Only Handicap Hurdle over two miles.
