BUSINESSES hoping for a summer tourism boom will gather to promote their attractions.
Wear Valley District Council is hosting a Tourism Information Distribution Day, at Auckland Castle, in Bishop Auckland.
The event offers the chance for tourism-related businesses to exchange information and ideas with others.
Hotels, bed-and-breakfasts and attractions will be exhibiting. There are still limited tables available, which must be booked in advance.
The free event takes place on Wednesday, March 29. Mike Richardson, Wear Valley District Council's tourism promotion and development officer is looking for interested parties to contact him.
He said: "The day is open to anyone, including but not only: accommodation, attraction, agency, taxi, fast food, bus company, shops of any description, pubs, tour operator, reporters, any interested company or individual."
Mr Richardson can be contacted on (01388) 761578.
