A PUB landlord and some of his regulars are preparing to bare all to raise money for charity.

Arthur Readman, host of the Black Diamond, in Delves Lane, Consett, and six customers will do their own version of the Full Monty at 9.30pm on Thursday, February 16.

Mr Readman said: "It will be totally different to the film, with a different dance routine and different uniforms.

"We have got a choreographer coming in. At the end of the routine, which will last three-and-a-half minutes, we will be baring all.

"The idea started off as a bit of a joke over a few drinks, and everyone committed themselves to it

"We are enjoying ourselves at the rehearsals, but on the night I suppose we'll be a bit nervous. There'll be a lot of people with camera phones, but it is for charity, so it has to be done.''

The event will be in aid of the children's unit at St Oswald's Hospice, in Gosforth, and there will also be a disco and raffle.

Tickets cost £2.50 and are available from the pub on (01207) 503894.
