A CLUB for junior archaeologists is appealing for new members.
Richmondshire Young Archaeologists' Club will hold its first meeting of 2006 at Richmondshire Museum, in Richmond, on Saturday, from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
Members will be looking at archaeological sites in Wensleydale and planning a field trip in March.
The club is open to all children aged between seven and 12.
The club will celebrate its first anniversary in April at the Yorvik Centre, in York.
Over the past year, members have visited a Roman fort, taken part in an iron age dig and made mosaics and Saxon pottery.
For details about joining, call Carole on 01748 825611 on Tuesday or Thursday.
