PLANNING applications submitted to a local authority can now be viewed online.
All drawings and plans relating to new applications will be posted on the Scarborough Borough Council site.
Cases dating back to 1974, plus key dates for consultation and final decisions, will also be listed.
Councillor Lucy Haycock, chair of the council's development and regulation committee, said: "This is a new and radical way of delivering planning services and represents a major achievement for the council.
"While our planning team will still be there in person or on the end of a phone, I really would encourage as many as possible to take advantage of this very comprehensive and user friendly service."
