SCOUTS POST: Guisborough's Scout group has raised more than £850 in its Christmas post initiative. Each year, Scouts place post boxes throughout the town, asking for a 10p donation in exchange for delivering Christmas cards locally. More than 8,500 cards were handled, which is an increase on the previous year. The money will be used for the Scout group.
HEALTHY LIVING: A Healthwise day has been organised at Whale Hill Community Centre, Goathland Road, Eston, from 10am to 2pm on Friday, January 13. The event is supported by Middlesbrough Primary Care Trust. For further details, call (01642) 468890.
