A SERIES of weight management courses will be launched in the New Year for people looking to get slim and improve their health and lifestyle.
The Pioneering Care Partnership will run the free 12-week courses at venues in Chilton and Ferryhill from Friday, January 13.
Sessions will be held at Henderson House, Chilton, from 10am to noon and at Dean Bank Literary Institute, Ferryhill, from 1pm to 3pm, both on Fridays.
As well as a weekly weigh-in, health professionals will be on hand to support members, offer dietary advice and free recipe books and introduce different kinds of exercise.
The course uses information designed by South Durham and Darlington Dietetic Service and can accommodate people with specialist dietary requirements.
