THE bosses of a novelty teapot firm are hoping that their latest design pours out of the shops.

The treacle tin and spoon was made by The Teapottery, in Leyburn.

As well as being sold in the company's shops, the teapots were given by sugar firm Tate and Lyle to its staff for Christmas.

Ian Jeal, from the Teapottery, said: "It can take up to five months and costs about £3,000 to produce a new design. At the moment, we are producing between 250 and 300 teapots a week."

Visitors can watch teapots being made at the factory in Leyburn Business Parkbetween Monday and Thursday, from 10am and 4pm.
