DELIGHTED youngsters had the time of their lives at their local library - when the staff staged their own pantomime.
More than 70 children and their parents were treated to some seasonal entertainment in Northallerton Library.
John Troll and the Library of Wisdom was written by Matthew Taylor, a performer, playwright and librarian from Buckinghamshire.
And the show was performed with great enthusiasm by library and information staff and kept a young audience enthralled.
The county council's executive member for community services, Chris Metcalfe, said: "This event showed the commitment of the local staff to make library and information centres a fun place for the local community, while promoting a lifelong love of stories."
