A BREAST cancer support group has raised £2,000 to buy new equipment for a hospital suite.
The group, from the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton, raised the money through a series of events.
They presented it to staff from the hospital's Scott Suite at their annual Christmas social.
Specialist breast care nurses Judith Curtis and Louise Sadler accepted the donation on behalf of the hospital.
Louise said: "We are very grateful for the group's continued support and help and would like to thank them for this much appreciated donation.
"We will be using the money to buy new recliner chairs for the benefit of future patients.
"They will be used for relaxation therapy and group sessions for acupuncture to manage hot flushes and will make a real difference to our patient's comfort."
