PEOPLE on Teesside hit by minor ailments over the Christmas and New Year holidays will be able to receive medical treatment at walk-in clinics organised by Middlesbrough Primary Care Trust (PCT).

They will be open on Boxing Day, Tuesday, and January 2, between 10am and 3.30pm, at the Fabian Road Clinic, Fabian Road, Eston, and at One Life, Linthorpe Road, Middlesbrough. No appointment is needed.

Martin Phillips, head of primary care at Middlesbrough PCT, said: "Walk-in clinics are convenient for patients, as they don't need to make an appointment, they can just call in to have treatment for minor illnesses.

"Similar clinics held over previous bank holiday weekends proved to be useful for patients."
