ALL 1,000 places have been taken up for Europe's biggest Boxing Day dip.
The charity event, at Sunderland, takes place at 11am.
Numbers have been limited for health and safety reasons to 1,000 and all places have now been taken.
While the public can turn up to watch the event, no-one will be able to turn up on the day and take part.
The event, organised by the Lions Club of Sunderland, starts with a fancy dress parade from the Seaburn Centre before volunteers take the plunge.
Among those taking part for the first time this year is mayor elect of Sunderland, Councillor Tom Foster, and colleague Councillor Mel Speding.
Coun Foster will be raising money for The Samaritans and children's hospice Grace House.
Last year's dip raised £57,000 for charity, with another £1,600 donated by spectators.
