VISITORS from across the region are flocking to see a Christmas display by a North Yorkshire pensioner.

Sightseers from Middlesbrough and Spennymoor have travelled to see the lights and decorations outside the home of 75-year-old widower Nancy Fell.

Mrs Fell has illuminated her home in Scorton for several years. However, she says the display this Christmas is the best yet.

"Everybody loves it, especially the kiddies," she said.

"Some people just slow down when they drive past, while others stop on the other side of the road."

A Yorkshire Air Ambulance tin accepts donations from visitors that go up to the house.

Mrs Fell has raised £117 for the charity so far. Although pleased with this year's display, Mrs Fell is already planning improvements for next year.
