PEOPLE finding the Christmas period difficult because of the loss of a child are invited to a church service tonight.
Burnhill Way Methodist Church, in Newton Aycliffe, will host the 7pm service, created to comfort parents who have lost a child.
There will be an opportunity to light a candle and to hang your child's name on a Christmas tree, as well as candles and stars to take home.
The service will be followed by a cup of tea and an opportunity to chat with others. Those struggling with any bereavement are also welcome.
