SHOPPERS could help police trace a stolen car which was taken from a town centre.
The blue Hyundai S Coupe was taken from Morrisons car park, in Bishop Auckland, last Thursday.
The vehicle was parked outside the Bishopgate Medical Centre, facing Newgate Street, while its owner went to the nearby chemist.
It is believed the owner placed groceries in his car at about 3.30pm, and the vehicle was stolen minutes later.
Bishop Auckland Police are appealing for witnesses to help trace the K-registered car.
