GUYLAIN Ndumbu-Nsungu says he did not feel any pressure when he stepped up to take the 93rd minute penalty which salvaged a draw for Darlington on Saturday, writes CRAIG STODDART.

His goal rescued a deserved point against Rushden and Diamonds and went some way to atoning for a wasting a great opportunity at Macclesfield a week earlier.

The Congo-born striker has now scored six this season, three of them from penalties - the others were at Grimsby and Kidderminster in the LDV Vans Trophy - and he said: "It was important to score, especially after losing last week. But we deserved to win on Saturday.

"I wasn't nervous because I practise in training twice a week so I am always confident I will score penalties.

"I don't always kick it to the left, I was going to put it to the right but I changed my mind at the last second.

"Sometimes Ryan Valentine wants to take the penalties but I like to take them, I am always confident of scoring.

"I want to score ten by the end of December, which is the end of my contract.

"I should have passed last week because someone in the middle could have scored but there was only one minute left and the first thing I thought was to shoot. It was a bad decision. I'm a striker and my instinct is to shoot.

"But I made up for it on Saturday. I had a chance in the first half but the defender stopped it on the line."

Clark Keltie scored twice as the reserves drew 2-2 at home to Hull City yesterday afternoon.
