THURSDAY late night shopping in Darlington is to get a boost from the Town on the Move bus.
The L8 Night Shopping campaign, which starts on December 1, will be promoting bus travel to the town centre by offering a prize draw for all bus passengers and a free bus journey home.
The bus will be at the Christingle Market, in High Row, offering travel information, refreshments and the chance to enter a draw to win an iPod Nano.
As an extra incentive, etween 6pm and 9pm, shoppers will be able to catch a free bus ride on Arriva, Stagecoach and JSB services from the town centre to anywhere in the borough.
The Town on the Move campaign is part of Darlington's sustainable travel initiative, which is a national scheme to encourage greater use of public transport.
The campaign will run for three consecutive Thursdays, with the winner of the prize draw being announced on December 15.
