AN exhibition featuring memories from the Second World War took place at the weekend.
Howden-le-Wear Local History Society held the event, featuring recollections from the war and the Home Front, at the County Durham village's community centre on Saturday.
Sponsored by the Home Front Lottery Grant Fund, there were contributions from village residents who lived through the war and a display on loan from the Durham County Heritage Project.
There was also a selection of topic work by year six pupils at Howden-le-Wear Primary School.
