THE taste of summer is back in North Yorkshire today to help the BBC Children in Need appeal.

Strawberry teas are being served up at the Springboard Business Centre, on Stokesley's industrial estate. Staff will have the kettle on from 3pm to welcome as many people as possible.

The £2.3m centre, which opened six months ago, is home to 16 fledgling businesses.

"We hope to show off Springboard to some new faces, as well as see some of our many friends from the business community," said manager Carol Campbell.

"We will have the scones buttered and the kettle boiling from 3pm and hope to raise lots of money for a very worthy cause."
