A NEW recruitment company is using its launch event to raise money for charity.
Bubble People, of Stokesley, will hold a balloon race at the party, on December 1.
The balloons will be released from the company's head office, Equity House. The winner, who will receive a magnum of champagne, will be the owner of the balloon which has travelled the farthest by December 18.
Funds raised will be donated to Butterwick House children's hospice, at Stockton.
The company decided to help the hospice after one of the directors, Tim Shaw, was diagnosed with testicular cancer.
He said: "The hospice requires a huge amount of help from the local community in order to continue providing its fantastic service and we felt we could make a contribution.
"Hopefully, we will receive good support for the balloon race and can raise a substantial amount."
Balloon tickets cost £5 and are available from Vicki Taylor on (01642) 715123.
