THE speed limit on a stretch of road will change this week after motorists' complaints.
Hartlepool Borough Council was persuaded to raise the limit on the southbound A179 Easington Road from 30mph to 40mph.
The limit will operate for 15-months after which the council will decide if the change is permanent.
New signs will be erected on the dual-carriageway on Thursday.
