A game in the LDV Vans Trophy awaits Darlington tomorrow but after Saturday's horror show Quakers will be aiming for a victory, while showing considerable improvement on the weekend.

Darlington were dire at Bury and assistant manager Mark Proctor says the tie at Kidderminster Harriers will see a strong Quakers side aiming to put things right.

After being relegated from the Football League last season Harriers are mid-table in the Conference and on Saturday lost 1-0 at Aldershot.

"We need to get back on track very quickly, starting on Tuesday," said Proctor who admitted Saturday's 1-0 defeat harked bark to last season - a year punctuated by unpredictable poor performances.

"After a bad game you are immediately looking for your next match to put things right so Tuesday presents an opportunity to get this out of our system.

"I know people say it is only the LDV but we have to treat Kidderminster seriously, especially so after this show.

"We get as frustrated as the fans do with the inconsistency - had we known how we'd play then we would have done something about it but we prepared as we did for the last game.

"We got a good performance against Macclesfield but, for whatever reason, it just did not happen.

"It stinks of last season. We had these hiccups and disappointments last season and it's our job to manage these hiccups. Hopefully, we will have less of these blips this year and if we do that we'll be there or thereabouts at the end of the season.

"It will be a lot better on Tuesday in more ways than one because this was unacceptable."

Tomorrow's game may come too quickly for Carlos Logan (Achilles), though Anthony Peacock stands a better chance of returning from the sidelines.

* Clyde Wijnhard, on loan at Macclesfield, came on as a substitute on Saturday but his new team lost 4-0 to Peterborough
