ORGANISERS of events around the Yorkshire Dales are being given the chance to advertise them for free.
The Yorkshire Dales Tourism Partnership event listings for 2006 will be featured online and in tourist information centres.
Information on events received before October 31 will also be considered for inclusion in the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority's newspaper, The Visitor.
To have an event listed, call the authority's sustainable tourism officer Kathryn Storey on (0870) 1666 333.
She said: "We aim to be the first port of call for anyone wanting to know what's going on in the area whatever the event. Whether it is to do with music and dance or food and drink, exhibitions or village fetes, there will be a place for it.
"The full listings will be regularly updated all year round, with new events information and displayed on the Yorkshire Dales Tourism Partnership's website at www.yorkshiredales.org and on the 24-hour touch screens at tourist information centres."
