TODAY we salute Prince Harry on his 21st birthday - and on his integrity.

It's a happy day for him, and certainly not the time to drag up old misdemeanours you wish would simply go away.

But the young Prince has done just that. He has apologised yet again for a stupid prank which offended so many old soldiers earlier this year.

In fact, when he donned that Nazi uniform complete with swastika, for a fancy dress party, we feared his military career was over before it had even begun.

Naturally, those pictures sparked outrage, being shown in the run-up to the national commemorations attended by the Queen to mark the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz concentration camp.

Prince Harry said sorry then, and he has been man enough today to say it again.

He admits it was a very stupid thing to do and says his blunder will always be in the back of his mind.

Maybe it was a sign of his immaturity, but now we are happy to hear that he has learned his lesson.

And we are also happy to report that his blistered feet have recovered and his knees - problems with which caused him to delay his entry into Sandhurst - are all right.

He's lost weight, been treated like a piece of dirt and gets shouted at by sergeant majors.

Happy birthday, Harry.
