PEOPLE looking for work in Newton Aycliffe will be visiting a new Jobcentre Plus office from next year.
The office, announced by the Department for Work and Pensions yesterday, will be in the town's new shopping centre and is expected to open in the late spring.
It will mean that people can search for a job and find benefit advice under one roof.
Graeme Wallace, Durham district Jobcentre Plus manager, said: "The new modern facilities will be fantastic, but the changes go beyond the fabric of the building.
"Our customers will be able to use our job search facilities, speak to our advisors or inquire about their benefit entitlements all in one place."
