CHILDREN have been enjoying seaside fun at their local library.
Darlington's Crown Street library has been running workshops for young children during the school holidays.
The workshops follow the launch of the new children's library last month.
The launch kicked off the rest of the events, including activities such as treasure maps and craft workshops.
One workshop has been running every Monday from 10am until noon and uses a theme of pirates and the seaside.
Activities range from making model octopuses to designing postcards and stamps to send holiday greetings home.
Volunteer Janet Woodcock said: "We keep children active and they learn new skills."
The workshops are open to all children and run until August 22. Anyone interested is asked to telephone Darlington Library on (01325) 462034.
