DETECTIVES searching for missing teenager Jenny Nicholl yesterday pledged not to give up on the 19-year-old.

It is now a month since Miss Nicholl was last seen at her family home in Richmond, North Yorkshire.

But police said they would continue the search for the teenager in a bid to find her safe and well.

Detective Inspector Pete Martin said: "Jenny's disappearance is so out of character that we are taking this very seriously indeed.

"A month on, we remain fully committed to finding her safe and well and successfully, ending this difficult investigation."

Yesterday, officers admitted Miss Nicholl may have gone away with another person.

They urged members of the public to get in touch if someone they knew had also disappeared without explanation.

Det Insp Martin said: "The crucial person I want to speak to is that someone who can tell us where Jenny Nicholl is.

"It might be a friend - it might be Jenny herself.

"If Jenny does hear or read this message I want her to know this - your family and friends are so very worried and need to know you are safe and well.

"We all just want to know that you are all right."
