CHILDREN are being invited to take part in a summer playscheme this year.
Places are available for this year's playscheme in Hartlepool. The council-run scheme operates on weekdays until Friday, August 19. It is open to children aged five to 11 and is from 9.30am until 4pm each day. A number of schemes operate in the town, including one at Rossmere Youth Centre, in Rossmere Way, where children were entertained in the nearby park yesterday afternoon.
Tracy Liveras, of Hartlepool Borough Council, said: "We have had a good response so far. There are, however, places still available at the Greatham Community Centre and Bridge Youth Centre-based playsche-mes.
"We have a great programme of activities this year and the children who have attended already have had a great time."
