LIFT RESCUE: A crew from Cleveland Fire Brigade released three people who had become trapped in a lift at Erimus House, Queens Square, Middlesbrough, yesterday afternoon.
FOUND HANDBAG: Cleveland police are keen to reunite a handbag with its owner. The white leather handbag, with a multi-colour patchwork design, was found in Saltburn town centre. It contains valuables and personal items and officers believe it could belong to an elderly woman. Anyone who can identify the bag and its contents is asked to call Redcar property office on (01642) 302613.
COFFEE MORNING: Guisborough Salvation Army is holding a coffee morning in the Citadel in Westgate in the town on Saturday, between 9.30am and 11.30am.
